The Arab Media Group, in cooperation with the Malaysian Ministry of Entrepreneurship Development and sponsored by the Arab Ambassadors Council in Malaysia, organized the Arab International Conference and Exhibition from 26-28 July, the first of its kind in Malaysia in terms of events, countries, companies and individuals. As well as for the first time a ceremony honoring graduates in Malaysia from all Arab countries.
The conference was attended by a number of high profile officials from Arab embassies in Malaysia including ambassadors and representatives. The Malaysian government which was hosting the event was represented by a team led by HE Dr. Dato Mohammad Radwan, Minister of Business Development in Malaysia, who delivered a speech stressing that such event is a special occasion for cultural exchanges between Arab countries and Malaysia, not to mention the common heritage, customs and culture of Islam. Malaysians also recommended the need to learn the Arabic language to strengthen the strong cultural ties between the Arab world and Malaysia.

In turn, the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Somalia was an active participant in the conference in all its activities. The embassy is headed by His Excellency Ambassador Abu Bakr Abdi Osman who was not available at the event due to other important commitment. The Ambassador was represented by the commercial attachΓ© to the embassy of Somalia in Malaysia. The commercial attachΓ© presented opportunities in Somalia and products Somalia can offer. The cultural exhibition was led by, Badri Hussein the cultural attachΓ© at the embassy od Somalia in Malaysia, the most important special pavilion for Somalia was the cultural exhibition. The embassy exhibited a number of pictures, handicrafts and folk food, which reflects the Somali identity and identity, the Somalia corner attracted quite number of people who were amused by the Somali display including Minister Mohammad Radwan and a number of officials and media.
The cultural attachΓ© to the Embassy of Somalia was invited as a guest of honor at the ceremony, he presented awards to the winners of the Arab Debates and Talents Competition, as well as the first Arab graduates. Among the winners and graduates were a number of Somali students who represented their country well in all fields with their creativity and excellence.
