Somali National Army killed five Al-Shabaab militants after terrorists attempted to attack on the army base outside Hudur town in Bakool region Sunday, SONNA reported Sunday.
SNA Commander in the area, Ali Ibrahim Isak told Somali National News Agency that the forces thwarted terrorists’ intent to attack the army base near the town mid night, telling they were taught difficult lesson.
“We killed 5 terrorist members and wounded 6 others who tried to attack our base outside Hudur town in Bakool region overnight, we’re now displaying 2 of their dead bodies to the media and public to see. I thank our heroes who prevented them from reaching their intent”, Mr. Isak said.
In lower Shabelle region, Military officials said that several Al-Shabaab militants were killed and pushed back swiftly after an attempted attack at the airport of Barawe town last night.
