President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Mohamed Abdulahi Farmajo on Saturday condemned the terrorist bomb attack at Meskel Square in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia at least one confirmed dead and a dozen others injured, SONNA reported.
President Farmajo Spoke on the phone with Ethiopian Prime Minister, Dr. Abiy Ahmed and shared his grief about the senseless attack at today’s rally that targeted innocent victims.
” I am saddened by the senseless attack on the innocent victims in Addis Ababa. These acts by a few cowards would not deter progress in #Ethiopia. I spoke on the phone with H.E Abiy Ahmed. My thoughts and prayers are with them”, President Farmajo said on the Twitter.
The explosion happened shortly after the Ethiopian Prime Minister, Dr. Abiy Ahmed delivered speech to a large people who gathered at the square to support Ahmed’s latest reform activities.
Djiboutian President, H.E. Ismael Gele also condemned the attack in Ethiopia today
” We reaffirm our commitment to Ethiopia’s stability as a strategic partner for the region’s economic development”, President Gele said on his twitter.
