Mayor of Mogadishu and Governor of Banadir Region, honorable Abdirahman Omar Osman (Eng.Yarisow) has said that the main motive of documenting the staff of the Local Government is to unify the working system of both the Central Government and the region, so as to prevent the staff from securing salaries from both sides.
The governor has pointed out that Banadir Region Administration has long been working on ways to document the staff of the Local Government, while this move brings together The Ministry of Labor, The staff and the Ministry of Finance.
The mayor of Mogadishu has briefed the Minister of Planning, honorable Salah Ahmed Jama, on the recruitment system of Banadir Region and its process, while adding that the two sides will continue cooperating on ways to upgrade the quality and skills of the workforce.
Also, the governor, Abdirahmnan Omar Osman, has said that the feedback of this documentation will tremendously transform the actual working conditions of the workforce and the move also remains substantial to securing a limited staff with the preferred quality.
The Minister for Labor of the Federal Government of Somalia, honorable Salah Ahmed Jama, has thanked the Mayor of Mogadishu for cooperating and coordinating with him, while reiterating their commitment to realising a better workforce with higher quality, who can deliver their task well.
The meeting was attended by the Administration and Finance Management Assistant, Social Affairs Assistant, Vice Chairman of Public Works, the Director of the Department of the Local Government`s staff and other officials.
