Somalia’s Chief of Defense Forces, Odowa Yusuf Rage held meeting with Chinese envoy to Somalia, Fei Shengchao and exchanged views on cooperation in defense, security and response in the country, SONNA reported Tuesday.
Odowa said that they are committed to promoting relations on areas of army matters with Chinese side.
“I have a very good meeting today with General Odowaa Yusuf Rage, Chief of @SNAForce. We recall the long-standing friendship between  and exchange views on cooperation in defence, security and drought response. We agree to build on the past and open up new horizons in future”, Shengchao said on Twitter post.
China will continue to provide assistance for the reconstruction and development of Somalia, exploring how to build livelihood projects in areas with better security and boosting cooperation in agriculture, fisheries, health and other fields according to the source.
