Somali National Army chief, Brigadier General Odawa Yusuf Rage has today on Wednesday cleared the SNA position towards the ongoing political row in the country, which many believed that the army was part of the problem.
To affirm the togetherness for the Somali National Army, in this critical time, the Somalia’s military chief general Odawa has held a meeting with military officials and told them not to take part in the current political crises between top leaders.
He encouraged them to stay away from what is going on and stand for what they were taking oath which is for serving and protecting the country.
“All SNA soldiers wherever they are should get ready their bases and also stay aside anything that can divide the vision and the power of the army and avoid anything that could lose the public confidence in the army, and that is what can facilitate us to fulfill what we were sworn,” said the commander.
This comes, two days after reports emerged which indicated Somali National Army’s involvement in the ongoing political row between the two top offices.
